In No Good Hand, by Hello Black Hole

The scattered stars under the cold sky of Finland navigated Goatspeed to grasp the meaning of his personal redemption and find his own way.

As the black winter keeps spreading its frozen hands upon the wonderings souls of Finland, they must somehow react, in order to reach redemption. A few years ago, Johan Snell managed to find his way and the euphoria of “Climax” was the ultimate ray of sunshine for him.

Now, he comes back with a new company and the aim ain’t no different. As a guitarist he’s gifted in a unique way in the sense that when he grabs his guitar and writing songs that make the Lethe of the human spirit run away. It’s about catchy songs which reveal their identity in a few minutes. Honestly, Johan really needed to do what he knows doing best. He really needed to synthesize this sticky introduction in “Five Hundred Rocks to Throw” and let his guitar strings be juddered in the void of “Crude Awaking”, as this song comes to an end.

I think that this introduction couldn’t be much different from what three friends (a guitar, a bass and a set of drums) can do. I really want to be honest with myself and with all of you reading this text. I don’t find necessary to categorize this EP as being alternative/post – punk or in anything else. From what I hear, at least in the way I perceive those songs, the whole sound or the general essence of Hello Black Hole is Johan’s, Pontus’ and Titus’ personal Rock N’ Roll. It saves them and needs to be played out loud.

I’m with them!
