A city, 1102 dancers, a world record!
On Sunday 01/06, apleasant surprise waited all the citizens of Thessaloniki that were heading for theirstandard Sunday walk towards the city center. The Aristotelous square reminded a square of Havana for a little while.1102 people from all over Greece gathered and danced in couples for 7 minutes and 16 seconds forming 27 different figures,breaking the world record, which wasuntil now held by Italy,and entering the World Guinness records.
The event was organized by the“European Youth Capital City 2014”, in cooperation with the dance school “Danza Fuerte”. Dance schools from all over Greece and Cyprus participated, while the revenues for participation were available for the organization “Hope for the child”.
